UC Study finds California’s proposition 2 would drive egg layers out of the state

A UC Davis study backs up previous conclusions that passing California’s proposition 2 – the Farm Animal Treatment Act – would make egg production in the state economically impossible. For more information read the press release or full study.

Unnecessary regulation, like proposition 2, raises food cost for consumers and causes more food to be imported from other countries that often have inferior food safety and animal care records.
