Over 97% of greenhouse gasses in U.S. from non-livestock sources

There have been varying numbers and a lot of misinformation thrown out about the contribution of the the livestock industry to greenhouse gasses. In this Beef magazine article “Livestock’s Shrinking U.S. Shadow,” the numbers are broken down to reveal that greenhouse-gas sources directly related to livestock production in the U.S. only account for 2.58 percent of the total greenhouse-gas emissions.
